The Artificial Vision Detection Module is an advanced and fully automated solution for bird protection in wind farms.
Equipped with high-resolution 4K cameras and a high-performance industrial computer, the system is capable of detecting birds at risk of collision at distances of up to 1,000 meters, ensuring a fast and effective response.
Thanks to its real-time artificial intelligence, the module automatically identifies, analyzes, and classifies flight trajectories, enabling action to be taken before a critical situation occurs. In addition, it records images and approach and avoidance sequences, ensuring full traceability and documented evidence for every event.
The system can be integrated with the Deterrence Module or the Wind Turbine Shutdown Module, automatically activating preventive measures when a threat is detected.
Designed to meet the needs of most wind farms, it incorporates 8 strategically distributed 4K cameras around the WTG: (2 facing forward, 2 to the right, 2 at the rear, and 2 to the left).
This configuration generates a full 360-degree protection ring, creating a horizontal “donut” safety zone that allows the wind turbine to stop automatically when a potential collision is detected.
For projects requiring the highest level of coverage, the Extended Version incorporates 16 4K cameras.
Eight cameras maintain the standard horizontal coverage, while the other eight expand the field of view toward higher elevations, creating a protective semi-sphere around the wind turbine.
This configuration provides not only maximum prevention capability, but also enables the creation of a comprehensive avifauna inventory, delivering high-value environmental and regulatory intelligence.
